Are You Maximizing the Value of the Seminars You Attend? There’s a Map for That!
It\'s exciting! You\'ve purchased a ticket to go to a seminar covering a topic you are passionate about. Whether it\'s internet marketing, holistic healing, personal development, or how to expand your comic book collection, there are things you can do to ensure you get as much out of the seminar as possible.
Some seminars may be held in the city you live in, and some in other (maybe far off) places. Whether you\'re going to Hawaii, Orlando, New York, or just staying home… going to a seminar can be fun and eventful… with amazing benefits.
What are those benefits?…
Well, the benefits include the information the speakers present, the people you meet, and the relationships you build while you\'re at the seminar… but that\'s not all. To make the most of the seminars you attend, there are things you can do before, during and after the event to maximize your investment in the seminar.
Before, During and After?? Oh yes…
After all, you\'ve made an investment… an investment of your time and money to go to this event… why not make the most of it?
So… to best show you the coolest factors in maximizing the value of the seminars you attend, we\'ve created a mind map outlining the things to do and discover before, during and after these events.

Phenomenal post Pat & Lorna, this is a must read for everybody 🙂
I have never seen such a wonderful action plan put together, great job.
You may want to consider adding some screen shots of the map, because
I almost missed this great piece of VALUE and I’m happy that I didn’t.

Now that is Pretty COOL. I do many of the things in you mind map, but I found holes. Suggestions you made that I intend to use. Mind mapping is a great brainstorming technique. Kind of a cross section of of your brain firing on all 8 cylinders.

Gary,
It’s amazing how many things we thought of when we did our brainstorming that we hadn’t considered for some time. It was a good reminder for us as well.
And we do find that mind mapping is a great tool to do that type of brainstorming… kind of lays it out in a logical, easy to see format.
Thanks,

Your mind map is awesome! Something to print out and take with me to an event… and maybe a magnifying glass… You’ve packed a LOT of value into a few pages, which will help anyone going to any kind of event.

After reading your blog post I am convinced that a mind map is the only way to make the most out of a seminar. What a thorough overview of all that is required. After only reading the title I thought I did everything I should be doing, but after studying your mind map I know that I was only fooling myself. Thanks for this great map. I will share with anyone who wants to listen.

One section of the map is devoted to preparation. I have learned that actually thinking ahead about specific networking goals, before you leave home, can help at the conference. What are you looking for and hope to accomplish in the way of people and resources. How many do you wish to help? And many other possible goals.

Pat & Lorna:
This is priceless info.!! I got so much out of this by reading & studying it. This is a must have for getting the most out of a live event. I have been to a couple before & I think if I had a guidemap like this I would have absorbed so much more. This reminds me of the guide they give you when you enter our huge Western Washington State Fair. It really helps you organize & Focus. Very creative!
Thanks

Pat & Lorna,
You both amaze me, with all the real content shared. I always look forward to seeking the next presentation, that is “Popping UP”.
Love that competition thing, with Jimmy…WOW! That had me laughing. I knew when it aired, your faces made me jump-up, as my wife asked, what is wrong, Bill. O’My I know them…TSA, what these people are so nice, and supportive.
I want you both to know that we, your readers. Look forward to the warmth projected, from your presentations. I for one, will never stop helping others, become successful, with real content. Everyday I have improved my content, based on all the support from TSA members, such as yourselves.
Is it amazing how you surround yourself, with compassionate people. The ones that are rare, and full of live, with energy. The ones that come through, when darkness surrounds, you like a black cloud. The ones who will always edify your actions, and never let you stumble. That is what true support is, all about. People like both of you! Standing out in front, leading the way to success. Just follow the bright path, that will guide you, and there you are. I made it to the next level, now this is my success!
Thank you for caring, what others are focused on. Bringing the correct information with content, to the light. This helps all your readers see, and awake, to the beauty that is still alive, in our great business.
Serving others with no hidden agendas, and caring what information, is presented. We all will continue to utilize due-diligence, before we choose to be involved with any project!
Thanks to you both…

Hi Pat and Lorna,
I am not big into mind maps….but your article is nevertheless very impressive. Making the most of seminars is absolutely a must. Sharing your cards, email addresses, web links etc,.
One of the things that was done from the latest Chris Farrell, Jo Barnes seminar in London was to create a facebook group for all members who attended. Absolutely brilliant resource as we are all swappoing notes on what we learned and helping each other with the technicalities – a mini tribe if you like.
Love your blog….excellent content all round and great image.
Best wishes

Peter,
Making the most of seminars is a must… they are a big investment (time, money, etc.), and the benefits we can get from them are huge if we take the time and effort.
We’ve been involved in a few Facebook Groups from seminars we attended and courses we took… and we agree that it’s a great way to build a tribe mindset and share ideas, thoughts and support.
Thanks,

Hey Pat and Lorna,
I’ve been to a number of seminars in the last few years. I’ve kept in contact with lot of the people that I have met there and I have seen some people take the information and run with it, while others don’t implement what they’ve learned. I love the map that you’ve shared. It’s great that it covers preparation before during and after the event.

Paul,
It is so cool to stay in touch with all of the like-minded individuals we meet at seminars and events we attend. We feel that is one of the biggest bonuses of attending live events.
And you are so correct… all the “stuff” we learn is totally useless unless we take action.
Thanks,

Wendy,
It did take some brainstorming… most of the things we already do, but there are a few where we felt we needed to pick it up a bit and added them in to the map for our reference as well as everyone else’s.

Just because you maximize your earnings, you may not necessarily maximize your wealth. In order to increase your monetary wealth, you need to have more assets than debt. In other words, you need to spend less than you make to increase your assets. If your earnings increase and you spend most, all or more than what you make, you will not have any assets. What you save from your earnings must be more than what you spend. You can do this regardless of your income. Someone who makes a modest salary can be very wealthy, if he or she saves more than they spend. It’s simple math, but can be hard for some to implement into a lifestyle.
