    Hello,

We know from experience that it is quite often very difficult to pass on what we first feel is a great opportunity.

But sometimes it’s not a fit for us and it is actually a better opportunity for us to not take it on.

Let us know if you have had this same experience… and how you feel about saying “no thank you” once in a while.

Hi Pat & Lorna ~ I can so relate! I got “lost” (aka overwhelmed) a few times last year when I was a “newbie” to social media and what you stated about how you need to decide that you WILL implement something before taking it on ~ I feel that is key, and once I realized that fact, it’s been a lot easier to “navigate” around social media sites and when I’m checking out a link, etc. Thanks for sharing! 🙂 Christine

I used to buy a lot of products and signed up for at least as many free products. It has helped me get educated on internet marketing. These days I don’t do that any longer. I write down the products that have my interest, but I have my own rule that says that I will only buy a product when I need it at that very moment. This may mean that I have to pay a little more for it, but it offsets the purchases that I will never use (despite my good intentions).
I am no longer letting temptation get me off track. The yellow road is no longer traveled by me 🙂

PS. I could not see the map, even though my Java is working.

      Karin,

Good to hear you are no longer traveling the yellow-brick road! You seem to have a great handle on what tools you need and when… that’s great!

      Thanks,
      ~ Pat and Lorna

    Hello Folks:

I can sure relate to what you are saying ! Good analogy about IM as a ‘YellowBrick Road’.

I have bought the ‘T shirt’ more than once myself, It was only when I focused on 1-2 things that I began to have success!

    Take Care

    Hi Pat and Lorna,

Thanks for sharing this really “cool” post.

It’s true, there certainly is a lot of “stuff’ out there and more being added constantly. Tow more new affiliate products and a new MLM were just launched since I typed the last sentence.

It can be very distracting and cause a definite loss of focus as many networkers are trying to promote too many things and be too many things to many people.

It is critical to ensure whether or not the next product, service or Company is the right fit, before jumping into the ring.

I have a number of products that are just collecting digital dust because I just don’t have the time and my focus has shifted since I thought it was the right tool.

As you stated, there is great “stuff” out there and one of the best investments is an investment in yourself.

“Invest three percent of your income in yourself (self-development) in order to guarantee your future” ~
    Brian Tracy

    Stay cool..

    To your massive success,
    Marc

    Hello Pat & Lorna,
I am one who when I first started online I bought everything I came across. Some things were good, but a lot was junk. I was not focused at all. Now, I do exactly what you point out here. I make sure it will help me grow my business or myself personally. This will help a lot of people not waste thousands of dollars as I did.
